Friends of Peru is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation, health and betterment of the Peruvian people and animals.

Friends of Peru aims to address this broad objective through specific, applied works in the areas of:

  • Animal rights and health
  • Natural disaster preparedness and response
  • Permaculture/sustainable living skills
  • Childrens health and education
  • Womens health and education
  • Community development

Friends of Peru strives to honor and uphold the rich cultural heritage of those it serves while looking to improve upon the current social, economic and environmental realities of the Peruvian people.

With this intention at heart, our mission is to:

  • Teach and practice sustainable, earth-conscious design
  • Promote inter-generational skill-sharing
  • Develop and showcase appropriate technologies
  • Support local economies and self-sufficiency initiatives
  • Create a global community network of solutions-interested individuals
  • Distribute surplus resource to those in need
  • Practice and promote a loving ethic of giving, caring, and sharing with the power to transform the "what is" into the "what it ought to be"
